Property Listing
Q: How do I list my property ?
A: You must register first if you have not done so already to start listing your property. During the registration process we will be asking you some questions which will help us accurately create and customise your online account and log in details for your property.
You will provide your own login name and password making it unique to yourself. You will be sent an email to confirm the email address you have provided us.
Once you receive that email, you can click the emailed link and start listing your property.
If you have already registered with PrivateSell.com.au you can simply login using the login name and password you selected when first setting up.
Q: So what happens after I have submitted my ad ?
A: Once your ad is placed with us, it will automatically be sent through to our system for approval. Once approved, you will be issued with a listing ID. (For example: http://www.PrivateSell.com.au/02534/). This will become your property code for your particular listing, which can then be utilised in conjunction with property signage, newspaper advertisements and other forms of common advertising.
Q: So how do I use PrivateSell.com.au to help me sell my property ?
A: By listing your property on our site you will have the opportunity to advertise your property via traditional media by using your advertisement on PrivateSell.com.au.
The advantages of placing your property under the PrivateSell.com.au site is that you centralise your marketing around your listing and allow potential buyers to view all aspects of you property.
Upon placing your listing with PrivateSell.com.au, you will be allocated your own listing ID or property code that resemebles your very own individual site e.g. http://www.PrivateSell.com.au/02534/
You will then be able to quote this URL within newspapers magazines, print, hard copy publications, flyers, brochures and other advertising mediums.
Traditional media still plays an important role in the sale of real estate at a private or commercial level, therefore our role is to offer you our client the ability to reduce advertising space and cost in the traditional media by offerring you space under the PrivateSell.com.au site.
When next placing an ad in the newspapers you may reduce your ad as per the following example:
"Waterfront house in Sydney's North, asking $650,00, for more details please ring 0500 566338 or visit www.PrivateSell.com.au/01244 "
It's that easy, and it doesn't cost you a cent for our services.
Please note that we run ads till sold, but we will be contacting you occasionally to check the status of your advertisement.
Q: Can i create and run more than 1 property at any time?
A: Absolutely. You can create as many ads as you wish. Every ad will have its own unique property code as well.
For example, if you create and run 3 ads, then you will own 3 seperate sites to use in your advertising strategy.

Registration
Q: How much does it cost to register?
A: Registration is FREE. There are no costs involved with becoming a registered user of the Privatesell.com.au Network.
Q: Do I have to register to use the site?
A: No. You can browse and search ads without registering. However, you should still register, to save time, as the site will remember various preferences for you. If you want to create ads, you will need to register. Registration is FREE.
Pricing and Payment
Q: How Much Do Ads Cost?
A: ALL regular classified ads in our site are FREE!
If you wish to have your property listed as a Featured ad (only limited positions available) then there is a $10.00 fee involved. Please contact us at info@privatesell.com.au to enquire about this paid feature.
Q: What about a featured ad?
A: A featured ad provides you with a premium level of exposure across our network. If you wish to have your property listed as a Featured ad (only limited positions available, so hurry) a $10.00 fee is involved for this service. Please contact us at info@privatesell.com.au to enquire about this paid feature.
Creating and Managing Ads
Q: I have already placed my ad, so now what?
A: Login and manage or edit
your ads. You will be surprised how some basic strategies
like uploading photos and adding more thorough descriptions of your property will help your potential buyers gather the information they require regarding your property.
Q: Do I Have to Register to Create Ads?
A: Yes. You must be a registered user to create ads. Registration is free.
Q: I created an ad, but it does not show up in search results. Why?
A: Good question! You need to RUN your ad. Go to My Account and click on 'Run ad' to the left of the ad you wish to run. Our system will then verify your listing and your ad will run immediately via approval by one of our customer service representatives. Running an ad is required as a final confirmation of the details within your listing. If an ad is not RUN, it will sit in DRAFT mode as a safe method awaiting your approval.
Q: How Long Does an Ad Run?
A: Each ad runs until your property is sold and removed from the system. You can edit or stop running your ad at anytime via the 'My Account' function.
Q: I sold my property. How do I now stop my ad from running?
A: From the My Account page, click on the STOP link situated to the left of the particular ad you wish to discontinue.
Q: What region should I put my ad in?
A: It is always best to place your ad in the region you live in. Your chosen region will be considered the default region as specified on your profile when you first registered, but you can change this at any time.
Q: Will my ad be visible in other regions?
A: Yes. All ads are visible in any region. However,the system will always display a seller's ads in their own region first before displaying ads from outside their region.
Privacy
Q: I don't want my name, phone number or email address to appear on your site. What should I do?
A: Your personal information may remain private if you so choose. You may update your personal privacy preferences from the My Account page. You have the right to choose various options suited to the level of privacy you require.
Keep in mind, that by omitting certain preferences such as contact details etc may actually prevent you from receiving any enquiries that are infact genuine.
Q: If i have set all my contact information to remain private to potential buyers, then how can a buyer contact me?
A: When your ad appears, instead of displaying your contact information, the following appears: "This seller has chosen to remain private. You may contact this seller via anonymous email by clicking here." The prospective buyer completes an on-line form and the system sends you an email without revealing your information to the prospective buyer.

Regions
Q: I don't see my city listed. What region should I choose?
A: Choose the city closest to you or the state you live in. If you cannot locate your area and feel that your area should be listed on our site then please email us at feedback@privatesell.com.au.

Q: Property Signs. I have seen a property in my area displaying one of your signs. Where do i buy one from and how?
A: We work with our preferred supplier of signage - www.propertysigns.com.au for all our sign, marketing and media needs. You can order your signage online via their order form and they ship within 24hrs anywhere in Australia. Prices for complete sign kits start from as low as $49.00 and are recommended for maximum exposure. Q: Do i need a sign to sell my property?. Isnt my listing enough?
A: Selling your property using a professional property sign is one of the most important and effective tools of successful selling and often taken for granted by sellers. Your chances of generating serious interest and selling your property quicker increase dramatically with the use of appropriate signage.
